HOW IT WAS MADE?

A CARTOON-INSPIRED AI-ART COLLECTION

The purpose of the collection was to portray the idea of “CARNAGE” in a more positive light because when you search the word you hear about tragedies.

However, there are multiple ways to view as there are with most things. “CARNAGE” can be represent vast disorder of the mind, of life, of many things as well.

This art collection focused on a cartoon aesthetic whilst reflecting real themes to show exactly that.

INSPIRATION?

The inspiration for the collection was partly to portray different ideas about “CARNAGE” but mainly to see how much creative freedom generative AI tools allows the user.

Typically, image generations tools have a content policy and restrictions on what can be used as a prompt to generate images. For instance, DALL-E has a content policy that prohibits creating, uploading, or sharing images that are not G-rated or that could cause harm, such as hate, harassment, violence, self-harm, sexual, political, and illegal content.

This is sensible because they do not want to be a provider of harmful content.

The issue is they decide what the harmful content is. While some things are universally classed as “harmful” content, some things are open to interpretation.

At Asycd, we believe that perspective is the differentiator between whether something is classed has “harmful” content and companies developing generative AI tools should keep that in mind. To add to that, whilst the content at a surface value may not seem all the way positive, the intentions may be good. Image generation tools have no way of telling what your intentions are before restricting the generation of your image or text.

These are issues that will be fixed soon with further research and human-focused validation of prompts.

For now, prompt engineering was used to bypass the content restrictions leading to the creation of this art collection.

The collection is a testament to Asycd’s prompt engineering capabilities and a commitment to always trying to do more with less.
