The Research Lab is Back — Cohort 02 Applications Open Now
Applications are open now for Research Lab Cohort 02 — teaching machines to navigate the internet as a living thematic landscape.

We are looking for our next cohort of researchers to conduct meaningful and progressive AI research.
Cohort 02 will have a focus directly tied to one of Asycd’s most central problems of interest: can we make AI understand us better?
The Problem
Since Asycd’s inception in 2022, we have been curious as to the extent AI systems can understand us. With TEV1 and TEV2 we played around with the idea of using LLMs to interpret complex and vague human ideas — and had some success.

Now we are trying to take it further with our new TEV Research Engine that utilises a binary category system to classify those ideas more granularly.
“We believe if we can do this, then we’ve invented a new paradigm for search and concept mapping.” — Founder
This problem means a lot to us and we hope it means a lot to you as well.
TEV2 proved that mapping human ideas revolutionises visual generation. By scaling this accurate classification of concepts across the broader web, we allow users to navigate human thought with the depth and nuance of AI.
Cohort 02: Navigating the Living Thematic Landscape
Applications are open now. A few areas Cohort 02 may explore, inspired by TEV2 and the path toward TEV3:

- Thematic Data Metaverses: Mapping the web into overlapping conceptual landscapes rather than isolated URLs and queries.
- Serverless Research Agents: Deploying autonomous agents that gauge human perspectives to power creative tools.
- Subtext & Unstructured Sentiment: Interpreting unstructured internet chatter through mood, metaphor, and tone over plain keywords.
- Live Cultural Signal Pipelines: Designing pipelines to ingest data from the internet, social media platforms, and more.
How to Apply
1. Read the TEV White Paper and provide a research proposal for the research lab.
Download the TEV Research Engine white paper (PDF)2. Submit your research proposal and CV to info@asycd.online with the subject line ‘Cohort 02 Application’.
3. CV + proposal review and interview.
4. Decision.
Who We Are Looking For
We’re looking for well-versed AI developers, undergraduates looking for unique work experience, and early-career professionals looking to get a taste of the space.
