“GUTSTRING”- A Platform  For the Unfinished Ideas, Naked Opinions and Art

Hi everyone, we’ve been quiet for a month — not gone, just underground. We have been getting ready for the research lab’s first cohort scheduled to begin in mid February.

2026 has already seen our initial plans ripped up in; what we work on, who we work with, even our values are in flux. What hasn’t changed is our eternal obsession with unsolicited expression.

Introducing “GUTSTRING”, our new home for that obsession.

Why Call it “GUTSTRING”?

We are just really fond of the name. The idea of having a string lingering in your stomach instantly vocalizing even the most minute of internal utterances is compelling. We want those gut feelings so don’t get shy.

We want those strings! Instead of making a “post”, our users will be adding “strings” to our platform.

Why Now? Why This? Why Why Why?

As the internet continues to spiral out of control, pervy course sellers in one ear, fitness gurus in the other, and political geniuses down the middle. Where is the room for expression?

Where do people go if they don’t want to deal with the BS of social media but they want to experience great music or writing. Medium is great but again, it’s built to serve those who wish to dismiss their true opinion to get more clicks. AI is actually the best writer on Medium believe it or not.

Where else? X? Ideas go there to experience a quick and painless death. Instagram? One second you’re watching an artist in their element paint a mosaic using a cigarette butt, the next you are being mentally decapitated by AI slop. I am aware of the circumstances in which Asycd was created but stay with me for a second.
